Dubai: A Place Unlike Any Other

Posted United Arab Emirates
The Burj Khalifa. Finished in 2009, it is the tallest artificial structure in the world, standing at 829.8 m (2,722 ft). And I must say, it is pretty amazing to see it in person. However the true size of it can only be appreciated from far away where it TOWERS over the over skyscrapers in downtown Dubai.

The Burj Al Arab up close. You can not go any farther without having proof of a room in the hotel or a reservation at one of its luxurious restaurants. :

The Burj Al Arab (the world's only "7 star Hotel") as viewed from a nearby beach. It is rumored that the hotel cost so much to build and run that it will never be able to make a profit.

This old town Dubai, near the Al Fahidi fort. Personally I enjoyed this area very much as you got to see a lot of the old architecture that once existed.

A selfie from the 125th floor of the Burj Khalifa (this is about 3/5 of the way of the building and as high as a normal person can go). Also that little building in the background is the Address Hotel. It is almost 1,000 ft tall and is the 36th tallest building in the world.

The "Fashion Avenue" area of the Dubai Mall (the worlds largest mall). Also, it is the worlds nicest and best mall with every store imaginable and all sorts of dining options. I usually don't love malls, but I must say this one is REALLY cool.

Walking along the water and a selfie with some of the skyscrapers of Dubai Marina in the background.

The Dubai Fountain with the Address Hotel in the background. The Fountains are AMAZING and in my time in Dubai I went to go see seven shows. The fountain is over 900 ft long and cost $218 million to build. In short it is WAY better than the Bellagio.
