The Grand Budapest Hotel

Well coming into Budapest, I found myself below budget for my trip and thought I might do something special.  Thus being a reckless spender and a sucker for nice hotels, I thought I would book an entry level room at Budapest’s renowned Four Seasons Gresham Palace.  Somewhat affordably priced because of the strong US Dollar to Hungarian Forint rate, one night at the hotel seemed the perfect way to waste my hard earned savings.  And while I knew it was consistently ranked as one of the best hotels in the world (#3 by Travel & Leisure, #4 by CNN) be expectations were still exceeded.  All in all, a large dent to my savings but a night I will never forget.
