More videos from Rome.  Here is the inside of Collosium.  It was amazing to see and our audio tour (courtesy of the Rick Steve app) gave us a great idea of what it was like thousands of years ago.  A bleak history with a lot of killing (obviously), but a magnificent feat of engineering nonetheless.

That night seeing the Collosium again.  This time eating some pizza, which was of course amazing.  One had fresh prosciutto and mushrooms, the other cheese with five type of pepper. Yes, five types of pepper.

Inside of the Pantheon.  It is on the site of an earlier building commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign ofAugustus (27 BC – 14 AD). The present building was completed by the emperor Hadrian and probably dedicated about 126 AD.

Inside St. Peter’s Basilica.  The internal height of the nave is just over 150 feet.  Simply massive and one of the most beautiful and massive buildings in the world.
